The VE-100 can handle up to 700 watts and operates as an on/off style thermostat. When the set temperature is exceeded and detected by the probe, the unit turns “off”. Once the temperature drops a selected amount, the unit will turn your heating device back “on”. I know this is a specific review but figured I would save anyone the trouble if they were doing the same thing and having issues! customer service was great helping me figure it out. using on a 7 bin closed snake rack with large vision tubs in a finished basement that stays about 65 and it does a great job of keeping everything in the rack consistently at 90 where we have it set. Review: Works mostly as advertised get the better version! - Highly recommend these products, however the descriptions of the different types are mostly the same and was hard to make sure I was getting the one I wanted.
