But it gets dry depending on weather, and New Hampshire winters get my hair and scalp very dry and on occasion flaky. My veterinarian would give me tea tree oil for my German shepherd's skin when it would get dry. In the hot summer he would dig a hole to get to cooler ground and his skin would dry out from lying in the dry dirt. So why not for me!! It smells a bit strong but after rinsing and drying it's absolutely fine. Besides, it leaves a fresh smell instead of a fragrant smell which I definitely don't want.
