It takes an otherwise messy area and add style and cleanliness to the space. Looks so much nicer than just having a pile of shoes laying around. Two pairs of shoes fit nicely in the tray. I like that I can take out the jute/woven part and clean it, then lay it back in the thick plastic outer tray. It's sturdy and the plastic tray stays in place well on my. wood floor. Unfortunately, while I really liked the first mat I got the material was way too course, textured, and spikey for the intentions I had in mind for it (completely not a knock on this product btw.
