These are very bright pickups. The treble is cranked, and the bass pickup is great for the clean channels. **Q: Can you this pick up be coil split?** A: It makes a different tone when I pull up on the tone knob on my PRS. So I guess it can. Fyi my PRS guitar was a trainwreck from the factory, I had to have it rewired along with fixing many other things. The pickup sounds great, however seeing that PRS did nothing to make this brand new guitar right and I had to pay over $500 just to get the guitar playable….
