I took my time and did a test build to get all the measurements and mark all the drill holes - positioning the bridge is key. Did a nice paint and lacquer finish (youtube is a great resource for this).I had to lower the nut slightly and level and re-polish the frets and set the action and intonation (I wanted to learn how - but you could take it to a pro for this). But now it plays better than the low-end name brand guitar that this emulates (I played one at a local store before buying the kit). The tuners and hardware are OK and the pick-ups, switches and knobs work great (again - youtube to learn how to wire and solder). I'm not sure I love the sound through my amp, but replacing the pick-ups in the future should be an easy swap now that I know how. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fun project with my daughter--sound is great! Even though it's not a tough project, directions and wiring instructions would greatly enhance my satisfaction of this product. We had to lay it all out and look on line for wiring instructions which my daughter found tedious. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ fun build, great price *by S***E on Reviewed in the United States on March 15, 2015* Great project! Like all kits, no instructions and you pay for what you get. I have noticed most complain about the nut but I think it's fine for what your buying it for. The wiring was a bit more difficult that the Strat kit but search 'wiring a telemaster guitar kit' on YouTube for a perfect guide. The body took dye great and after 7 light coats of spray polyurethane, sanding with 320 between coats and got a great finish. I ordered a black pickguard for mine - if you get another pickguard be warned, it won't fit like the one that comes in the kit and will need to be tweaked. Adjusting the action was not to difficult but to get perfection go to a music shop, while there ask how much to oil the fretboard, smooth the frets and upgrade the nut. Mine sounds great without any important upgrades thru my Frontman amp, the volume knob works well. The tone knob doesn't give much range but it's enough to hear when adjusting. When building this do a pre-assembly to get the bridge in the right spot.
