Even though I believe DeWalt puts out quality products I was skeptical at the CC comparison claims but having used this saw many times I can tell you battery power has finally surpassed the power of gas imo. Pros - the saw is lightweight, powerful, quiet. It saws through the hardest of woods with ease. Cons - the saw has a tendency to overheat the batteries. I'm using a flexvolt 12ah and while that provides enough juice to take down a good size tree the bigger issue is with the batteries overheating if you're using the saw continuously. The only other issue I have is the lack of available replacement chains as it appears DeWalt has dropped the ball on supplying 20-in chains. I believe Oregon makes a replacement chain but they're difficult to find. Overall the saw is well built, powerful and has fully replaced my Stihl chainsaws. I’ve had the full 20” bar in trees already and the saw doesn’t lack for power though the batteries last the best on logs around 10 to 12 inches.
