My husband always wanted one of these because his parents used to have one, that was about 40 years ago! When I found this one, I just had to buy it for him. I think the price was a little high for what it is, but it does work, and he's happy with it. He uses it to make martinis...he just crushes a couple of ice cubes at a time and it saves a lot of time. Easy to use once you get the two sides hinged together. It's a cool kitchen item and people always ask about it when we pull it out.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works pretty well

This manual ice crusher wins 5 stars for ease of use over any other ice crusher - just put some ice in it and squeeze! Perfect for a single cocktail. However, I gave it only 4 stars because the size of the resulting crushed ice varies quite a bit - from shards to chunks. (I might try chilling it before use to see if that makes any difference - stay tuned!) Also, you need to put a sufficient volume of ice in it in order for it to work - a single piece of store-bought flat ice simply won't work at all - you need to put enough ice in it to do any kind of a decent job of producing crushed ice.
