The ruler itself is mostly everything you'd expect: straight, accurate. Additionally, the pointy end easily doubles as a letter opener.There are a few downsides: The ruler's measurements feel like they are printed on, so I fear that after some more use, measurements might start to rub off. Additionally, the inches are divided into tenths, rather than the more typical sixteenths. This means that inch side is really only useful for measuring full inches and half inches (and fifths of an inch, but I've never seen that used anywhere).Finally, one thing to note is that the ruler is not exactly 1 foot.
