Each card contains one of three symbols (squiggles, diamonds, ovals) in varying numbers (up to three), colors (purple, green, red), and degrees of shading. A dealer arranges 12 cards, face up, and the players--without taking turns--hastily scrutinize the images for logical "sets" of three cards linked by combinations of sameness or difference. It's not as complicated as it sounds: examples include a trio of paired ovals with increasing levels of shading between cards, or disparate symbols in different colors which increase in number on each card (card one has a green squiggle, card two a pair of purple ovals, card three a trio of diamonds). The trick is to keep calm while trying to make the rapid connections. Actually there is no setup needed, just shuffle and show 12 cards, no need to deal any to the players. The gameplay doesn't have turns, it's just a racing game where whoever would be the 1st to find a set among the 12 cards would gain the point, so it's gonna be fast. - Small table space is enough to play. A table that can fit 12 cards is enough. Can definitely be played on an airplane table! - A bit addictive. You would always want try try it again after a game. - The game is replayable. You would always want to do better. When you weren't able to find a set, you are really focused to get the next one. If you found a set, it feels very satisfying. **Q: Could someone who is color blind participate?**
A: No, because two of the colors are red and green.  The game would need to be modified to use colors that can be discriminated by all.

**Q: Can one person play this game?**
A: I play alone all of the time.In fact, I have it on my Android phone (and used to have it on my iPhone).It is a great way to "warm up" your brain, or relax in the evening.

**Q: Does this come with instructions in German?**
A: They do have downloadable instructions in many languages on their website though. www.setgame.com

**Q: I have this game from many years ago and the cards are very stiff and difficult to shuffle.  Is that still the case?**
A: They feel like a normal new deck of cards to me. All cards are stiff when new. I’ve shuffled them maybe 100 times and they are stiff and slick but not unpleasant to shuffle.
