These fit him well, including with cotton athletic socks on. Been receiving online ordered shoes that are off-size in length lately. I can forgive the mid-area width not fitting since that’s a charming but nonetheless abnormal feature of his feet (which he claims is a sign of aristocratic blood). But what the heck is going on with off-sizing within the same brand? Timberland isn’t the only one. He loved the last Timberland leather ankle boots I ordered him 2 weeks ago in 9.5 but claimed they felt a full 2 half-sizes too long so had to return them. Yes, I checked the label to be sure. These hiking shoes look really nice. Tread looks great for light day hiking here in Southern CA and pretty much everywhere. Quality construction from what I can see but I’ll update this review if something goes wrong later like the sole and leather upper start separating as I’ve seen in reviews of a few other Timberlands recently but not this model so far. Just got them but thought I’d let people know the sizing in this one is accurate at least for 9.5.
