Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. *by A***S on Reviewed in the United States on October 28, 2014* I am not frequently disappointed by a product, and I have had great luck with Pangea's cables, but these stands are rubbish. Avoid at all costs; these are an embarrassment to the brand.The manufacturing quality is very low; there are dramatic inconsistencies in the lengths of arms; mine varied by several mm from piece to piece. This is a lot worse than it sounds because the plates are incredibly thin metal, especially the top plate. The unevenness in the arms caused dramatic distortion in my top plate, and I'm not sure there's enough Blu-Tak in the world to heal these sins. I was able to make a true mating to the floor via the different spike lengths (they are adjustable), but there was nothing I could do about the top plate being horribly torqued and warped on both stands due to the legs being uneven.Independent of the manufacturing tolerances, the real problem here is the plate thickness; Pangea clearly skimped on both the top and bottom plate in this regard. While the bottom plate has a rounded edge to provide some additional rigidity, the top plate is incredibly flimsy. I have a pair of stands that were only slightly more expensive that feature 1/4" thick steel top and bottom plates and they exhibit none of these problems. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice speaker stands... *by S***A on Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2015* These are nice and heavy. They are also stylish enough to pass the wife's scrutinizing eyes. Now the one downside is that either they production process is not perfect because I needed to use force to line up screws on one of the stands and it took a little work to make it perfectly straight OR I put one together differently than the other. If the latter there are no instructions for which way the steel components should face. Bottom line - i ordered a 2nd set for the surround speakers so they are good enough for that! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great quality and heavy duty *by G***Z on Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2015* So strong I think I'll use them as jack stands the next time I rotate my tires. LOLGetting all four columns to line up properly turned out to be a major PIA.
