The vertical stacking planter is a great idea to create an ecosystem of plants in a limited space. The pots are so designed that when stacked together, they produce a column of multiple growing facets of plants. Each pot has 3 planting sections, thus comes with 9 planting areas if 3 stacking pots are ordered. The pots can be easily separated and reformed. The overflow points in each pot enable water to seep down to lower levels. Self watering grid in each pot retain the water in base well of the pot, providing a controlled feed via the natural capillary action of the soil. This helps maintain a balance of moisture in the growing medium over a prolonged period. Self watering grids help retention of the moisture and thus help in constant supply of nutrition to the plants. Watch out the moisture in the potting medium in order to know when the plants should be watered again. You can of course stack more pots, even up to 5.
