This set cost about the same as my previous set of 2, and it's much bigger (See photo). My old set uses 2 AAA battery and this one use 3 AA battery, so obviously hold much longer charge. The biggest difference I noticed is the antenna. It's much longer than my previous set so it can reach longer distances. I tested both sets on the same channel and my old set start picking up noise/distortion way before the larger one. So I'm very happy with this purchase so far. I still haven't figure out how to do hands free mode though. And the other thing is I wish the scan button is not sharing the same button as the POWER button. This means when my kids turn on/off the device, they might accidentally end up in a different channel and can't no longer reach me. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Buy rechargeable batteries!!!!! *by C***T on Reviewed in the United States on October 26, 2020* While this says it is rechargeable it is actually only rechargeable when you BUY rechargeable batteries to put in it.
