First, you need to know a little about ohms. Here is how it works....Almost every amp made outside of comercial communications will handle an 8ohm load per left and right. Most will have heavier capabilities like, 4ohm load or 2 ohm load. The load is the amount of speakers your wiring in to your speaker outputs from the amp. That rule of physics goes like this:two 8 ohm load = 4ohm 2 4ohm load= 2ohm. Never, Never go below 2ohms unless the amp specifies it can do that, or you will eventually be looking for a new amp and possibly new speaks too! Now if you want to hook up more speakers you have to know about wiring. Parallel is a term used means direct hot to hot ground to ground per speakerload "series" is how you can wire speakers to increase the ohms, he ohmage to keep the amp safe from overload which often = thermal meltdown! To wire seies you take the hot from a speaker and cooect it to the ground from another speaker. What you have left is hot wire from one and the ground from the other. Plug thjose into the amp as color code correctground to ground hot to hot n\Now the ohms will go the other way. you apply the same scale as parallel but going up instead of down. example....now 2-8ohm speaker load will be 16. The thing is, you sacrifice power going up in ohms and gain when going down. That is why when you read amp specs on an amp you will almost always hear em talking about power wattage to ohm load.
