After testing them for several days on a standard interior door, here’s what I found: Please don’t use my lack of craftsmanship (rough cut, door gets caught on frame) as a negative of this product. I’ll admit hanging doors is a craft and with more time, I’ll finish this product up to fully functioning. This is solid solution as described on the listing. A solid, dependable hinge that closes doors smoothly and quietly—practical, polished, and surprisingly refined for the price. I wanted an interior door that would close itself that was easy to install, without bulky or noisy hardware. Pros: • Adjustable tension: The built-in spring system allows control of the closing force. • Quality construction: The brushed nickel finish looks sleek and consistent inside and out, resisting fingerprints and showing no scratches on arrival. • Simple setup: The hinge installs easily, and the included instruction card is clear and written in native English. • Durability: The spring mechanism feels sturdy and should last for years with occasional lubrication (a drop of light oil every 6–12 months helps prevent squeaks). The tension pin seems like it would not loosen over time, but if it does it’s easily replaced or reinforced with a small piece of metal like a trimmed bobby pin. Two pins are included per set. For me, removing one hinge (middle) change the door angle slightly so now the door rubs at the rope of the frame. I wasn’t able to tighten enough to correct the issue- again an issue of hanging doors, unrelated to the product. The set comes with three full sets of locking pins and screws. I used one hinge and tightened a lot, it should last, but for more durability/matching, you may also use all three per door. Cons: • Check size and configuration. These were bigger than my interior hinges and are four screws instead of three. I had a chisel out to make room. • I seemed to tighten stronger than manufacturer’s instructions, which are slightly vague. The door lost closing power as it finished closing, which required tightening one or two more notches. There are other styles out on the market, but I chose this style because it was affordable and easier to install. These lack hydraulic damping, but for basic self-closing, they’re excellent. Best suited for residential normal interior or exterior doors that need gentle automatic closure without complex hardware.
