I think it's well made and tracks well. I am a beginer and needed something simple. It only weighs about 40 lbs. so I am able to carry it for a short distance to the edge of the water by myself (I am 5'2). It can hold up to 250 lbs. (that would include any gear). It has a a nice stern storage platform with a bungee net across it to hold a small cooler or other supplies. It gets wet back there so I would get a dry bag if you have anything that can't get wet. They have many molded foot rests to make sure you are comfortable no matter how tall or short you are. The seat it self does not have padding but has a decent enough padded back rest.
