Yes, these are brilliant. My boy didn't get on with the normal ones you can buy they just rubbed on his arm and leg. These sit really nicely around the knees and arms. Not really used the hand ones as he doesn't skate yet but they look good as well.

You actually put them on your knees and elbows, But you can wear them whilst riding a mountain bike. Not sure how old your nephew is, but my daughter is 8 now, and I think the getting to be on the small side. She’s had them since she was 5 though.
