You can tell because some of the pieces have a slightly different taste, its not really "industrial" dried mango. The mango is soft and chewy, and not overwhelmingly sweet. The package is resealable so that you can keep it for a while.This company supports rural farmers in Nigeria, and has given them a market for their product so that it doesn't just rot away. Some other brands I have tried are also quite dry and wooden and this tasted fresh and soft even after I had opened and resealed it in it's regular packaging over the 3 days I ate it.
