There are times when you need those big, heavy strap ratchet types to tie down things, but there are also times when the rope ratchets are better to use. I have both, and I use the rope ratchet more often than the other. During the spring and summer, I have a gazebo that we put up. These are used to tie down the corner posts. I rarely ever have to adjust them, but when I do, all it takes is a pull on the rope and it's done. I also use them to tie down light items in my truck when the need arises. Love the storage bags for when they're not in use...makes it so everything is together and a lot easier to find! Maybe if my fingers were smaller it might not be a problem.
