Id like to use this as a pallette for oil paints.** A: Its smooth. I don't think it would function properly as a cutting board if the surface were pebbled. **Q: I am interested in using this as a trivet for hot things coming out of the oven. Has anyone used it to support a hot 9X13 glass dish?** A: I placed a 13x21 in. aluminum pan with roasted chicken breast directly from the oven, on my 12x16 in. tempered glass No issue for me...and yes I was nervous. Oven temp. = 375 degrees. **Q: will the rubber feet come off n the dishwasher? My current ones did and clogged the drain lines** A: I don't know. I wash mine by hand. But I would guess that they would since they come off even when washed by hand. I have used E6000 glue to re-attach mine--luckily I noticed they were missing before I drained the sink--and those have not come off. **Q: Can you put a hot pot from oven on it?** A: We have placed hot pots and casserole dished from the oven.
