I've had this Aprilaire 760 in my home for nearly 20 years. While I replaced the water panel every season I had no idea the inlet of the OEM solenoid had a miniature filter. Doh! When I finally picked it out it was destroyed. Also saw a lot of corrosion inside the solenoid. I took apart my old unit and soaked it in CLR for a few hours. Using a pin and a tiny screwdriver I cleaned it out the best I could. Hooking everything back up I still got just a trickle of water to flow through the solenoid. Bought this thing and magic. Look at the video. Amazing. I had forgotten that when the humidifier was working like new, you could actually hear the water flowing through the solenoid, like now. No more itchy skin 👍 Review: Works as advertised - This was a field fit for a Honeywell humidifier - not designed to "drop in" as a replacement. Honeywell or other replacements were VERY expensive. My husband had to point out that there was one already in there and this is just an extra. Extra filter looks different than original plastic one. The wires are a little shorter than the original but we were able to connect it. May be more difficult fitting it into a tight space if you have larger hands. Running well.
