What a difference between this one and the old one. This one is more substantial looking, is much quieter, comes with more accessories, and is easier to clean.In the past when my wife would say she was going to make mashed potatoes for dinner I would cringe, knowing that her old mixer would sound somewhat like a cross between a dentist drill and a jackhammer. This one, thankfully, is so much quieter. She has used it for several things and continues to like it.It's not the fanciest mixer out there but it just works and works well. It stores the beaters & cord perfectly. It hooks easily on the bottom of the mixer and makes storage perfect & easy. I noticed somewhere someone mentioned theirs did not stay on, but mine does and I love it. The cord is most definitely too short. It keeps coming unplugged when I have to move to a different station in my kitchen which I often do because of doing so much cooking. I just think with that improvement it would be perfect. Someone also mentioned abt the speed being to high even on low, but I did not see that as a problem at all. The one other improvement I would suggest is for the beater blades to be increased in size. I have never seen any that small and feel it would do a much better job and quicker with larger blades.
