However, if you really want to immerse yourself in prayer, and contemplate the mysteries of the Rosary, then, you need this book. Even if you’re just curious about the Rosary and want to understand the reason for this prayer... There is no need for beads, unless you fancy them. The book is easy to read, and self explanatory, but some archaic words. Other than elevate your soul to deep contemplative prayer, it also guide you to pray for the lost souls and for the souls in purgatory. The only fault I found is that you need to know that the Rosary is completed in four sets of Mysteries. Those sets are separated in four days of the week. On Monday and Saturday you may pray the set of “The Joyous Mysteries”. On Tuesday and Friday you may pray the set of “The Sorrowful Mysteries”. On Wednesday and Sunday the set of “The Glorious Mysteries”. And Thursday is for the set, elaborated by St. Pope John Paul II, “The Mysteries of the Light”. Unless, of course, you want to separate a couple of hours and do the whole entire book. It also has some Catholic vocabulary, (eg. purgatory). However, you may omit them if you only want to ripen the contemplative part of the Rosary.
