I could immediately smell burning. Upon investigating, the charge is showing visible burn marks from fire.This is incredibly dangerous.I understand this is a cheaper version of an expensive product but I did not anticipate this almost setting my room on fire. ### ⭐ Fire hazard *by B***A on 15 December 2018* This is a stark warning to all those thinking of buying this product. Foolishly I thought a review left previously about this product blowing up was simply someone being unreasonable, I mean this is Amazon right, surely a company as big and powerful as Amazon would not allow life threatening products to be sold on their site? Well they do. The product arrived on time, well packaged. I opened it this afternoon and plugged it into my Macbook Pro. Five minutes later my wife and I smelt smoke and then a loud bang. The whole house went dark. I grabbed a torch but I knew straight away what it was. Climbed under my desk, unplugged the charger and flicked the fuse box. Everything back to normal except a Macbook that wont turn on and a burnt out plug. The attached photo shows the burnt charger. I accept not severe on first inspection but my neighbour who is a volunteer fireman and electrician said it must be reported. I am calling Trading Standards in the UK on Monday at 0900am when they open. There is a strong possibility this faulty product will start a fire in your home or business premises. Luckily we recently had our home rewired and a new fuse box installed.What surprises me most is someone left a similar review once before here and yet Amazon still allows this company to trade on their site. Surely a product blowing up should immediately cease the sale of the item concerned until it is inspected? The product is still "for sale", I just checked. Come on Amazon, you have revolutionised the way we all shop, the shopping experience is superb but this is unacceptable. I wonder how easy it is going to be for me to get a refund............ ### ⭐⭐ Disappointed *by C***E on 21 November 2018* It is able to charge but the magnetic head is not very strong, always loose.
