**Q: Is there a minimum thickness this latch will work with?**
A: The door I put it on is a smidgen under an inch.  Just watch how long your screws are. I swapped out to a shorter one. Hope this helps

A: No lock. Just as weather proof as any other product of this quality in latches. If you want a good attractive and functioning latch for interior/exterior look at Acorn hardware. Between 30 and 50$ a latch depending on style and model. Has a lock and is a beautiful piece. This national hardware is nothing exciting but it does the job

A: You really can't lock it , weather proof yes, it is on an out side door to my garage for over a year and no rust
