It's waterproof yet the fabric is soft to the touch. It's really easy to carry and I'll be using it all summer. I bought it to take out when I'm out with friends for Picnics or at the beach with family. Absolutely ideal. This picnic blanket however is incredibly generous in size. Measuring 2x2m it easily fits us and all of our food in the middle. The blanket then conveniently folds up to a size easy enough to carry anywhere WITH FOLDING INSTRUCTIONS!! This sounds trial but the amount of time this saved after using fir the first time in the garden the other day was appreciated. The blanket has a nice finish, being coated with a PVC making it waterproof to any spillages or damp grass and can also be easily wiped clean.
