The current bass player in Yes, Billy Sherwood re-records Chris Squire's signature bass track, The Fish, and current lead singer Jon Davison performs on an acoustic medley. Review: This is Amazing! - This 50th anniversary tribute to YES is filled with great stuff that sounds fantastic. Members of YES are all over this album but Billy Sherwood really shines on so many of these tracks, "The Fish" being a particular standout. His bass work on the "Wurm" section of "Starship Trooper" is also really spectacular. Jon Davison takes three classic YES songs and melds them together in a warm acoustic version that is out of this world. Also on hand for the proceedings are Tony Kaye, Geoff Downes, Tom Brislin and Jay Schellen. With so many members of YES playing on this it sounds like a strange hybrid of YES with lots of great guests. I love everything on here but the real surprise for me was Sonja Kristina's soulful and stunning vocals on "Soon." If you are a YES fan you will probably really love this 50th anniversary celebration of the greatest prog band of all time. Thanks Dave and Fernando for putting together a truly worthy album of YES music for their anniversary. Best of all? No "Roundabout" or "Owner of A Lonely Heart." This one is special! Review: Superb Recordings - I did not know if I was going to like this set of tribute recordings from my favorite band or not. After listening to it for 15 seconds, I knew where this was going. Crystal clear sound engineering, instruments and vocals from the various artists performing these wonderful Yes songs. Very many guest artists including current and former members of Yes. Every song is great on this CD which is the format that I purchased.
