I use it while I do makeup on clients and myself and can't see my kit without one now. I tried plastic prior to owning this set and will never go back. This has reliable weight and steadiness that you can't get from plastic that easily flips and slides if not careful. I love the black rubber lining in the hole of the pallette so it is comfortable for handling, and it also helps grip surfaces when placed down. No matter how many times I've cleaned and sanitized, the pallette and spatula look just as they did on day 1, except for a few lines and scratches that stainless steel shows if too abrassive when using. And the number one favorite thing about the spatula that I love which plastic ones cannot provide me is the thin and sturdy tip which allows me to pry out metal pods from their container palettes.
