(chopped banana, cinnamon and honey is my current favourite).I find the majority of types of porridge end up as a gloopy paste which just isn't very pleasant, so I always try and go for the jumbo oats. Well I've been having hot porridge for breakfast for as long as I can remember, as in my opinion it's the best start to the day and genuinely keeps your appetite at bay until lunch time. For my taste I always have a 50/50 mix of water and milk, all water just doesn't suit my taste buds! I then add a small amount (teaspoon) of honey.For years I've only used the smaller (standard) oats but these jumbo oats really add texture to the meal, I mean you really have to 'chew' the porridge, but that adds to the experience rather than being a chore. There's also a creaminess that I don't notice as much with the standard oats. Now no longer as I did my research and found this, on sale here.The quality is fantastic, love the texture and the creaminess these oats generate is delicious. One thing I would say is that they are 10 times better cooked on the hob. Microwaving is ok but I found that the milk keeps boiling over well before cooking the oats through.
