I avoided the Godin at first, because I thought the price was out of my budget. Now I realize I would have saved money in the long run if I'd bought the Godin first......but you probably want more specifics, right?The Godin is the first new guitar I've bought in 55+ years of playing that DIDN'T need taking to the shop for a setup. It plays perfectly out of the box. The electronics (pickup system) sounds great in almost any setting, playing into a Fishman Loudbox Mini amp. But what really sets the Godin apart from the other nylon string guitars I've had, is that the others, even with new strings and compensated saddles, would not "intonate" (play in tune) well, especially up in the higher registers. I can play chords up close to the twelfth fret, and they sound in tune. This is almost unheard of in a nylon string instrument. I've heard for years how incredible Godin guitars were in general, and now I understand their reputation. You have to unplug it when not in use, even if the amp is turned off.
