That this is intended as a gift book is apparent by the To: / From: page following the title page.  Each two-page spread includes a full-page color photo of a cat or cats doing what they do best opposite an accompanying appropriate quotation.  Many, but not all, of the quotations are about cats.  Examples include "It's really the cat's house -- we just pay the mortgage" -- Anonymous and "Life is something that happens when you can't get to sleep" -- Fran Lebowitz.I purchased two copies of this book -- one as a birthday gift for a friend and one as a gift for myself.  While the small size keeps this out of the coffee table book category, it's perfect for an end table or nightstand in a guest bedroom.

This was a Christmas present for my friends across the pond who work in animal rescue.They have two cats of their own and we were scratching our heads to figure out what fun cat related item we could send them.This book has been their biggest entertainment of the holiday season!  Fun, great photographs, recommend this for the cat lovers in your life!
