Kitten did not recognize a bottle as a food source, so I dropped formula into her mouth. As she got older, she sucked milk out of dropper. At first, she didn't need much. As she got older, I had to reload the dropper several times. Benefit is that you don't need to clean them, so no worry about bacteria build-up. You can try making milk-sop, which is bread soaked in formula. I have raised squirrels with that, they just suck the formula out of the milk. Kitten would not do that. **Q: no vacuum seal under the lid? The lid is loose, how can this be good for 2 more years? Is says good till 3/2023** A: Good for 2 years if not opened **Q: Does this have iron in it?** A: Although iron is not listed in the provided guaranteed analysis, ferrous sulfate ( a type of iron) is listed in the ingredients. **Q: I’m having trouble with it separating in the bowl. The milk part goes to the bottom and gets thick. Is this normal?** A: I use small Dixie cups, bathroom size. 1 scoop to 2 scoops warm water. I use a plastic fork to mix just enough to mix it and work out lumps, then add more warm water until 2 scoops, mixing it each time I add more water. Doesn't separate when I do that. I use the 100 count disposable pipettes, so kittens don't cross contaminate, if one is not doing well.
