Awesome machine for sleeping! The sounds that this wonderful device creates are VERY realistic. I like a rain, but as the cool months approach I just don't would like a rain running in my room or house all the night. Even I've only used this for about a week but it's perfect for my needs. It could drowns out the occasional vehicle driving by, dog barking, or even creaks and rattles from my house. There's a wide range of volume control as well as various sounds, 10 types of sounds I think. Some are better for sleep than others, but there should be something there that works for everyone.To be honest, I ordered this soun machine because it has a continuous play option. I keep it in my nursery to help keep the baby asleep once we moved her to her own room. A lot of other baby sound machines will only play for 30-60minutes and my baby will stir through the night and wake up without the noise in the background. Also, easy to use, and takes up very little space. Great sound machine for the price and I love that there is so many options.This machine is small and light also, so if you plan to travel with it that'll come in handy. It is about 290g/10.2 ounces without color box packing by my measuring. It is powered by USB cable. We likes it and it is battery powered (or can be run off a USB cable). The operating time can be 30 hours so nice for carrying anywhere without electricity.The white noise machine itself works as it is supposed to.
