本牛革という言葉による先入観のせいかもしれないが、なめらかな手触りは最高。おそらく使い込むほどに味が出るであろう色合いも今後が楽しみ。でも気になる点もいくつか。・ペン収納スペース？がキッツキツで使い辛いったらありゃしない　ペンをねじりながらなら何とか入れられるが、入れると今度は引っ張り出すのに一苦労。　下手に力を入れると、不器用な自分は破いてしまうんじゃないかと心配になった。　革製品だからきっと時間をかけて慣らさないといけないのかな？・本体ホールド力がない　カメラ機能を使う場合、カバーを外さないといけないせいだと思うんだが、　カバーがとても外れやすいようになっている。かっちりしっかりホールドする感じは　皆無なので本体使用中の持ち方次第では、カバーがすぐにズレたり外れたりする。　カメラ機能をほとんど使わない自分はここがちょっと残念に感じた。しかし先に書いた　ペン収納スペースが使い辛い事もあり、本体からペンを取り出す時にいちいちケースの　角を外して取り出すことになり、わざとゆるゆるにしてるのかな？とも思える。　ペン出し入れでしょっちゅう動かすことになる右手前のホールド用革部分が壊れやすそう　なのが心配。・ソフト収納スペース　使い始めてまだ間もない今の内でこそしっかり押さえが利いてるけど、使い込んでくると　革が伸びてきてぶかぶかになってソフトを落っことしそうな予感がする。見た目の格好よさと手触りは最高なので、そこに価格分の価値が見出せて実用性は二の次と納得できるならお勧め。10/09/20追記今朝見たらソフト収納スペースに入れていたソフトの内の一個が無くなっているに気が付いた。あまり出し入れしてなかったので今頃になったが、もし頻繁にソフトの入れ替えをしていたらもっと早くに落としていただろう。材質上仕方ないが実用性はなく見栄えのためのスペースだと考え、ソフトのケースは別途用意した方がいいだろう。

見た目や手触りはさすが本革製といったところです。値段に見合った満足感が得られます。ただし、オープン時に上画面部のホールドがずれてしまうので若干不安定な感じは否めません。サイトの写真を見ると、カバーをかけたままで充電用コネクタが露出していますが、実際には帯でコネクタが半分くらい隠れていました。よってカバーを閉じた状態では充電ができません。手作り品らしいので帯の位置が若干ずれるのかもしれません。購入の基準でそこを重視する人は気をつけてください。ペン収納部は純正ペンや市販のDS用ペンだと厳しいです。（現在は入手困難ですが）CASIO JK-824ST2 E-2000用スタイラス、通称"桜井スタイラス"がぴったり収納できました。
