I was wrong and it’s currently on its way back to amazon. First of all the depth of the plate means that my little one can push food around much easier rather than pick up food items. Nonetheless, we continued with the plate. We used it twice, washed up shortly after each use and not submerged in the water for excessive amounts of time, my OH noticed that there was some cracking on the varnish of the spoon after the first wash. I thought he was just being an over particular carpenter. Not the case. It was peeling on the spoon handle and our little one had only used it once. We left the spoon out the second time we used it and after washing up the plate and drying we noticed that the plate had lost the varnish on the edges and had started to crack on the plate around the sections for food. At that point I just decided we will stick with the other brand of bamboo plates and sent this one back. Very disappointed all in all. ### ⭐ Not as good as bamboo bamboo *by M***I on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 August 2019* I wish I’d returned this and got a refund as it wasn’t cheap and i didn’t realise it was a poor imitation of bamboo bamboo which is superior. This wasn’t actually cheaper and the base came off pretty immediately which renders it useless. It’s also got a weird coating and I’m dubious as to its materials. Don’t buy it, buy the bamboo branded ones. ### ⭐ Quality is poor *by A***O on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 February 2019* Good idea, nice looking, my daughter seemed to enjoy eating from it BUT the whole idea is that the suction is there to prevent the child from pulling the palate from the table and launching it across the room or dumping the contents on their head and in practice it doesn't work as my 11 month old was able to pull it from her high chair with very little effort and it came apart in two pieces.
