Once primed they are excellent and easy for kids to use. No noticeable odor. Keep in mind this is really PAINT. Not washable. I use them in my workshop where I need to mark a wide variety of materials; fabrics, metals, plastics, etc. The wicking tip has proven to be near perfect - I’ve found the tip on these type of “paint markers” to be the usual problem when there is a problem. The tips on these are long enough to prevent puddling and firm enough that the marked line stays thin & crisp. The 15 different colors are different enough to distinguish between the colors and solid enough to easily see over the darkest & most textured fabrics & plastics or dirty, rusted metals.
