This is a most wonderful work of Transcendental Art!Quality of Craftsmanship - so lacking these days of computerized assemblyline-manufacturing - is of the highest caliber.The fact that a nice microfiber cloth for polishing the Amida Buddha statue is included, is a testament to the maker's reverent investment in offering the highest service possible.If you have any interest in Pure Land Buddhism, I know you will be exquisiely happy with this finely-handcrafted Butsudan and the intricately detailed statue.Namu Amida Butsu!

As another reviewer mentioned, this item is of poor quality and extremely overpriced. Parts of the bamboo were already broken off the drawer and others were splintering, the sliding cover fits badly.If this were $10 or less, it wouldn't bother me, but a rip-off at $50.

I am so impressed with the craftmanship and quality of this portable altar. The small wooden buddha inside is very detailed, as is the outside of the box. It's not mentioned in the product description, but there is a small drawer for incense storage and a built in holder for stick incense. The drawer has a magnet closure so it doesn't open in transit. The whole thing is a beautiful little jewel and fills me with joy.
