To Install them on the jeans I poked a hole in the jeans with the tips of a knife. Then stuck it through and folded my jeans back over the button so hammer wouldn't smash it up and hit it with a hammer. Make sure you have it lined up before you hit it with the hammer and it works perfectly. I hit it hard the 3 or 4 time and tapped it about 5 or 6 times for good measure. Good luck. They're stylish.
