Good projects to build and a useful reference book. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Takes me back to old days *by G***N on 13 January 2025* I have been contemplating building a valve audio amp and decided I needed to really go back over my limited knowledge obtained in the 1960s! The Mullard book has got great circuit diagrams and associated wisdom and is really whetting my appetite to have a go. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I have a copy of the original of this although the cover fell off years ago. *by F***N on 26 April 2021* As I ( still do ) have my old printing of this book, it is easy to review this one in comparison to the original. I think it { the original } was printed in the mid or late 1950s , although I bought mine in the mid 'sixties. It is a comprehensive text on the subject, but in those days it was not intended to sell in America so the term " Tube " - which is an irritating addition, keeps on appearing every where.This is a reprint of the original document which is very welcome but it has one major drawback. I do not know what process of copying is used: but I would suggest some sort of Photocopying. The text is clear enough but the many Photographs in the original are reproduced as nearly a completely black blob. These circuits were made by what I call birdsnest wiring - stringing components between strips of insulator with separate electrical contacts to support the components. These have the same defect as the other pictures.
