Review: Pretty decent regulator for the money and better than I ... - Pretty decent regulator for the money and better than I expected. Adjustment to pressure is easy, smooth and does exactly what it's supposed to do. Couldn't ask for any more on that end of things. The gauges are a tiny bit iffy. If what you are doing does not require a lot of accuracy then they work great. The application I am using this for needs to be very close so I switched the delivery pressure gauge out with one that was much more sensitive and could not be happier. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. It works great and I am really happy with the quality considering what I paid.
Review: Works as it should - I bought this to put on a Nitrogen bottle I bought to charge shock absorber remote reservoirs. The gauges and regulator work perfectly. I did swap out the regulated gauge for a different one with a lower capacity but higher resolution. This works better for my needs but there was nothing wrong with the original one for most applications. The nitrogen needed to fill a shock is very inexpensive, is estimate less than $1. Shops want around $20 to do it. Obviously if you have one shock to do one time, having a ship do it makes sense. If you have several shocks you plan to do regular maintenance on getting everything you need to fill them yourself. It is far more convienent and will save you money in the long run.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: The advertized Delivery Pressure of this regulator is 400psi, but the delivery gauge shown in the photo shows a max pressure of 600 psi. Which is it?**
A: When the first stage of the regulator is supplied with > 600 PSI, the output is limited to roughly 480 PSI in the fully open position. Also, the guy that said you wouldn't need to go that high for normal use is an idiot. Nobody knows what you will be using this regulator for.

**Q: How is the CGA-580 fitting threaded into this unit? I want to take that out and use NPT as much as I can.**
A: Purchase a LASCO 17-6783 1/4-Inch Female Flare by 1/4-Inch Male Pipe Thread Brass Adapter. Don't attempt to remove the existing NPT-to-flare fitting because it is sealed into the regulator assembly and you risk damaging the regulator.

**Q: Will this work with argon**
A: Yes it will work with argon. The regulator has a CGA 580 inlet connection and a 1/4" male flare outlet connection.

**Q: I purchased this regulator and the yellow hose does not attach to the 1/4" flare, it is to small. The yellow hose fitting is to big?**
A: You are not using standard refrigeration hoses. Sounds like your either using the mini- split adapter or larger vacuum type hoses. Take it by an HVAC supplier and they will show you the proper size.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality at a very good price
*by B***R on September 8, 2016*

I used to spend $250 to 300 for a regulator. We have been using the first of these units for over a year and I just purchased two more based on its performance. They are solid units and have held up well. The thread quality on the fittings is good and shows minimal thread wear after 20-30 tank changes. The housing is very solid brass and has stood up to a drop or two. The gauges are decent with metal cases and a molded rubber bumper - we haven't tried to calibrate them but They are better than the typical low end plastic housings that I would expect for a regulator at this price point.
