Will these plants grow here?** A: You should be able to grow Castor Bean where you live but if it is dry you will have to water them If you have a big yard plant them all over These plants get very big 8 to 12 feet high and the leaves spread out3 to4 foot I f they grow you will like them I'm sure they should grow in sand try a few and use some garden soil also I live in Ohio my dirt is rich black some plants were planted in sand and rich black dirt mix and they grew the same I hope this helps you out. **Q: Can the seeds be used to make castor oil?** A: I would not recommend trying to make the oil since each part of this plant is considered POISON. It can absorb through your skin when handling any part.
