It's a bureaucratic description of how U.S. special forces are organized, from SOCOM to Devgru, including how each group began and how it relates to the others, with an emphasis on internal politics. The book makes a point of calling out the important players by name, and you'll come away having heard of everyone from Marcinko to McRaven, but there are few detailed stories of their exploits. The stories that are included are usually brief summaries of the more detailed accounts already published in other books. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I really liked this book *by D***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 15, 2016* I really liked this book, but, to me, the title is a little misleading. Expecting in-depth sniper experience, instead, I was presented with a fascinating history of Special Forces which is well written and researched. If you are looking for a blow by blow account of US snipers, it isn't here, rather a few paragraphs, lacking in specific details of various actions. Having said all this, I did enjoy the book and that's why I gave it 4 stars. I am sure that the title was the publisher's idea and not the authors.
