Although I do not subscribe to any religion, I love what these flags symbolize; they serve as a means to promote peace, compassion, strength, and wisdom into the world. Wikepedia states: "Tibetans believe the prayers and mantras will be blown by the wind to spread the good will and compassion into all pervading space. Therefore, prayer flags are thought to bring benefit to all." I think the world will only benefit from a conscious effort to promote peace and compassion - not to mention, raising the flag is thought to bring good fortune and health.I haven't had them up all that long, so I am not sure how they will hold up but they are meant to hang indefinitely (and burn if they are taken down). Unfortunately, my condo association won't allow me to hang them on either of my balconies due to the stucco exterior...anyone have any ideas how to attach them to stucco without damaging said stucco? Command strips won't work since stucco isn't a flat and smooth surface.
