I sincerely wish this was available 15 years ago when I started my own study. If you are a teacher or are a "newbie" I highly suggest purchasing this deck for that alone.The images on the cards are gorgeous and I liked that the artist put so much thought into them, even going as far as incorporating the actual woods of the trees in the ink itself when creating the original images. I've used this deck a couple of times for readings not only for myself but for others as well and have been quite successful on all of them. The book the deck comes with it is also fantastic. Not only does it come with an in-depth discussion of each of the cards, but it has suggestions on layouts and working with the cards in your magical undertakings.The only quibble that I have with this deck (and it really is just being nit-picky), is that the card stock could be a bit more heavier. Make sure to store them properly or they will start to bend at the corners. The deck does not disappoint, having clear, detailed drawings that invite, but don't distract.Based on Gaelic runes, the deck offers different paths to use; intuitive imagery, runes, or tree lore. Each card has a rune and associated tree lore in a detailed book. The book has the name, image of the card, lore, a diving charm, and suggested interpretations (both upright and reversed).My only downside is if there is an order to the book, I can't fathom it as of yet.
