This foot rest allows the backs of my knees to be raised up just enough that they don't press against the chair. I'm glad I purchased this particular product because it is wider than most and for me, more comfortable. The foam is soft against my feet, the texture on the bottom prevents it from sliding on the floor and I like that the cover is machine washable.
