**Q: Does this unit need an extension cord to charge?**
A: It comes wit a short 4' 2 prong cord that plugs into the back (male), you can use an extension 3 prong cord also. I recent;y bought this unit because I had purchased a JNC660B for work that performed beyond my expectations. It was used left uncharged in the heat of AZ for months and several times. Over a 5 year period it had few charges left in 100+ degree heat and is still going strong.

**Q: Jnc770r - can i store this unit in my vehicle laying on its back or side?  will the battery leak when stored in these positions?**
A: I have mine stored on it's back and have experienced no issues.  I have not encountered any battery leakage storing it in this position.

**Q: When you use the jump box to start a vehicle does the running vehicle in turn charge the jump box?**
A: No, once you jump it you remove it from the battery. I charge it with the outlet cord. I have been able to get a few jump starts with a single charge. It is great as back up while boating and Jeeping.

**Q: Is the battery in the jnc770r the newer agm type (absorbent glass matt) technology ?**
A: Yes, the 770 and 660 have sealed lead-acid AGM batteries.  The 311 and 318 have lithium batteries (which I'd think is more "new technology" than AGM).

I've seen a lot of YouTubers using jump boxes from this brand and decided since I'm always working on things, I'd like to have one too. I pikced this particular version because it has a voltage readout which comes in handy. For example when working on the charging system of my mini excavator, I hooked this up and noticed that the charging system wasn't working. Troubleshooting the problem revealed a blown fuse. I replaced the fuse and immediately after, I saw the voltage rising to around 14.2 volts on the display. Saved me from having to go grab a meter. It also comes in handy to simply know the charge state. This is not a lightweight jump box. It's relatively heavy, but is well made and has performed perfectly for the year I've owned it. Another thing I use it for is when I need 12 volts for testing motors or other accessories. Again, flawless performance. It also holds charge very well. I've charged it once in the last year. I'm sure I'll get many more years of service out of this jump box. While it's not dirt cheap by any means, I think the value you get for the money is really solid.
