Wanted an adapter to hook into my Battery Tender cable I have on my motorcycle already - this was exactly what I needed. Because it was made by Battery Tender, it hooked right up to my existing cable, so now I can use my GPS unit while riding. I was also pleasantly surprised at the length of the cord - almost 5 feet - so hooking it up and running it down through the bike was no problem. This is a quality made item, very sturdy... nothing chintzy about it. I also really like that it has a cover over the plug hole so if you mount it with the hole side up, it won't get rained in (a bonus on motorcycle rides when it rains).
