That fact is obvious in the overall apparent build quality and fit and finishOn the surface, it's pretty from a distance.Having said that...When I opened the box with the vacuum pump, the two oil bottles in the box were empty. When you add to that the fact that the pump and inside of the box were covered in oil with oil pudding in the bottom Styrofoam insert, I thought that the oil leaked out of the bottles.The listing indicates that oil is not included, so I ordered a bottle the day after my pump and gauges arrived.When I finally had a chance, I pulled out the pump to use and cleaned it thoroughly. There was not 2 100 ml bottles worth of oil spilled. The pump window shows evidence of the pump having oil in it at some time.After cleaning the pump and filling it with oil, it sputtered oil from the outlet for a few minutes when I turned it on.The evidence suggests that the pump was filled with oil and tested. Then drained and packed.My guess is that the empty oil bottles are a matter of convenience, and the oil inside the box and on the pump are the result of the box being turned upside down after packing and the excess oil draining out of the pump through the outlet.The equipment functions as designed and expected.
