Twin Peaks Protein Puffs - (Mesquite Barbecue), Keto Friendly, Low Carb Snack (300g, 21g Protein, 2g Net Carbs, High Protein, Healthy Crunchy Snack)

I first found a bag of these at a Ross discount store and got them thinking for a few bucks and these macros, I'd be foolish not to at least try them. Sooooo glad I did, because these things are life-savers for me. The flavor I got at the discount store was jalapeno cheddar, and it made me want to seek out the rest and try them as well. It's the perfect crunch and doesn't taste like weird whey or stick to your teeth like most low carb stuff does.I bought the six flavor pack. On first try, I liked jalapeno cheddar the best still but also liked parmesan garlic and thought the BBQ and pizza flavors were very accurate. I told myself I'd eat them all even if I didn't love the flavors (they're too expensive not to!) and so far I've fallen in love with parmesan garlic and nacho cheese as well, even though at first taste I wasn't all too impressed. Sour cream and onion smells like urine to me so I got through one bag but can't finish them. The pizza flavor is weirdly strong, so I don't think I'll finish the second bag of that one either. Overall, I like 3 enough to order them again, so I feel the multi-pack did its job well.In short, the macros on these puffs are amazing and they're a great way to scratch the potato chips/snacks itch while getting in a lot of protein. I've had them 1-2x daily for the last 2 weeks and still can't believe how far a single serving goes and how much protein it has. It's helping me hit my goals in a big way.Whoever said there are hard bits in some of the puffs is very correct though. It doesn't bother me, as I just make sure to chew softly when eating these just in case I come across one (maybe 1-2 puffs in a serving will have the hard bits).

Do not buy. Please oh please do not buy.I enjoy a lot of protein enriched snacks. This one, however, tastes expired. It tastes like somebody died eating it and they cooked that person and then I ate him. If this is what dog food tastes like, I owe my dog a sincere apology.This is the worst purchase I have ever made from Amazon.

I have ate dozens of bags of these at this point and LOVE THEM. Price is a bit steep, but I gotta admit 42 g of protein for 200ish calories is bonkers, makes hitting macros much easier so pretty worth the price. Taste and texture is for the most part fantastic making them a real treat I look forward to. However, that is with one exception. The jalapeño cheddar is just awful and it takes everything I have to choke them down. I would love to just avoid this one god awful flavor but they INSIST on including in every freaking combo pack. Would be five star if they would just add an option to sub this one out.

I think it tastes good and has crazy macros but this can’t be healthy overall. Lol

I have been on keto for a while now and my guilty pleasure has always been chips and cheese puffs. Well I happen to stumble across these on my feed and thought why not? So I purchased the jalapeño cheddar because everyone seemed to buy that one and say it was delicious but spicy and I am all about that spice. I was not disappointed. The puffs are smaller than a traditional cheese puff, however they have that satisfying crunch and mouth feel. The taste is yummy and the jalapeño cheddar ones do pack a slight punch. I would compare it to flaming hot Cheetos heat, if you stop eating you can feel that burn. I was so happy with this purchase I immediately went back on amazon and bought the sour cream and onion flavor. Those also were fantastic. I’ve come across many protein products that promise to taste great but flop. These don’t have that powdery texture or after taste. They do taste like small cheese balls. I will say it is slightly pricey compared to the big buckets of cheese balls you but at your local store, but for someone who has been struggling to satisfy that need, I will suggest these to anyone. Very pleased. Only suggestion is to see if can lower the price to under $20 if able to? Cause I would be buying every flavor.

Edible, but that's about it. If you are looking for a high protein snack, this could give you that, but for the price, and the weird taste, its not just great at all. There are such better options for high protein snacks. Only reason to buy these is if your favorite snack is cheese puffs and you want something to get close to that texture. It wont get close enough though IMO.

9/2/21 updateSo recently I purchased sour cream and onion and jalapeno cheddar! The sour cream and onion ones taste like Funyuns! I love it. I added a little onion powder to make it taste more onion-y. These also have a slight “wet dog” after taste but the onion powder takes that away completely.The Jalapeno Cheddar is awesome! It’s spicy and has zero weird after taste. Cheesy and jalapeno-y.I didnt end up finishing the nacho cheese ones from my original review and probably wouldnt purchase them again but these 2 flavors are awesome!*****These weren’t supposed to come until tomorrow but I got them a day early! I am so excited about these! These are a total game changer with dieting. I feel like now I’ll be able to actually lose weight because they will allow me to eat less.They don’t taste exactly like cheetos, but close enough. They also are crunchier than cheetos. They have their own unique taste. I got the Nacho Cheese kind and may try the spicier flavor in the future. I’m surprised how good they really are!They are smaller puffs, maybe a little bigger than a dime but that’s not a bad thing. A serving size is a cup so you get a lot for the serving!I am SO happy I accidentally stumbled across these.PS: The only thing negative I noticed about them is that they make your fingers smell like a dirty dog that needs a bath. At least with the Nacho Cheese flavor. They are still good though!
