Great Choice!—But it’s all about expectations...
I was very hesitant because the other reviews were all over the place—some were happy many were not. Finally I read one that convinced me to purchase and I’m glad I did!First I will agree with what several people said, the paper isn’t a true white. It’s more on the grey/blue tinted side. It also isn’t as thick as water color paper I find at the art supply/craft store. This is much thinner and more flexible than that kind.WHY I LIKED IT ANYWAY: I purchased 4 sets of this paper over the course of some recent art classes. I had 20 students so I saw how several kids/beginner artists interacted with the material. The paper really stood up to and held quite a lot of water. Only one or two started seeing the paper breakdown as the worked. We also used this same paper for our colored pencil drawings. There is a bit of a rougher texture than most sketch paper, but it still worked well and allowed the students to blend colored pencils and build layers of colors. So to echo what convinced me from that other review: it’s all about your expectations. For artwork that I am commission to do I would not use this paper. I would use this for practicing for myself or for beginning art students (any age) and save more expensive art paper for final projects.

Honest review
I looked at all the reviews and chose to purchase. I have to say I'm no proceedings artist and this paper out performed all other papers I have used within my budget. I did the basic tests you can see the pic. Now, this papers is off shade but did not hinder the vibrance of colors. I will buy again since I am learning. If you are looking for high quality like arches paper this is not for you. It held up to the test I put it through. It worked out amazingly for this price.

Not good
There is not much texture and it doesn’t absorb water like better paper. But mostly, it’s a very gray\purplish shade. It’s okay for practicing strokes, but I purchased it to actually make art with.

Good for practice
I think is great paper to burn trough when practicing!! I would recommend this paper to practice precision work line work etc. Have in mind water absorption will act differently in better quality paper .Good value for the money (100sheets) , for beginners who want to practice without worry that you will burn over good quality (expensive) paper. Have in mind this is 100lb paper (160gsm) meaning is in the thinner side of watercolor paper.I bought these with the understanding they are NOT to do any actually artwork. I didn’t want to use my regular paper to practice lines and precision work, etc. Although is understood good paper is important to practice techniques in watercolor , I just didn’t want to use all my good paper on practices. This paper does the job well. Dries very quick , if trying to practice any bleeding technique you would need to work quick with this paper .A bit chalky and I dnt like how it dries when you leave a water puddle . Attached you will find some practice work done on this paper.

not what is advertised
I have been looking for a quality white bee paper for smaller projects or practice. This is the second item I purchased and sadly, I'm disappointed once again. The claims that the: "Color: white" is true, only in the loosest sense. It's gray tinted and so is not a good paper for: educational arts and crafts, art exams, or for professional watercolorist. It is good for practice drawing or blocking but not for much else.Cold press watercolor paper: Enjoy a nice texture, suitable for mixed media, such as wet and dry isn't true at all. The paper began to crumble the moment the water hit the paper and it's so thin that dabbing only pushed the water through to the back. These watercolor pages do not enable the painter to move color greatly to show a good vision experience. If it wasn't a decent enough paper for children or drawing, I would rate it a one. I am unhappy with this purchase but will keep because I can at least practice on it, though I can't use it for assignments or if I wanted to create gifts or personal wall paintings.

Works for what I wanted it for.
Wish I had located this before I had purchased the more expensive paper, because it works just as well.
